Population Increase According to the Center for Immigration Studies, immigration population and their decendants will increase the US population by over 100 million people in the next 50 years, roughly equivalent to the combined populations of France, England and Spain. Shifting Allegiances A time existed when immigrants entered America and fully assimilated themselves into our way of life, leaving their old nations - and political ideologies - behind. No more. Indeed, today's immigrants enter our nation openly professing their loyalty to their homelands. What Awaits Us? Author Mark Krikorian in a recent interview with CIS saliently identifies what awaits our nation should we not re-examine and change our immigration policies: "Greater income inequality, more bilingualism and cultural balkanization and ethnic unrest, more Mexican and other foreign government involvement in our internal affairs, more vulnerability to terrorist threats, more poor people leading to progressively bigger government financed by progressively higher taxes causing progressively slower growth in productivity and per capita income." Controlled Immigration Rewarding illegal immigration through amnesty begets more illegal immigration, whether granted by Ronald Reagan or Barak Obama. Hold your policiticians accountable. Forget Your Party Both major parties view illegal immigrants as a lucractive, power solidifying voter base. Remind your politicians that their duty is to the constitution, not to a political party. |

A Borderless Society Isn't a Society Why would any politician encourage unmitigated immigration and then push to turn those immigrants into voters? Power and control, of course. This forces teachers to teach at slower rates and with less complexity holding back entire blocks of students. Burgeoning, Expensive Crime Populations Depending on your political point of view, you're likely to cite illegal immigration crime rates as excusatory or culpable evidence. Whatever your politics, illegal immigrants costs taxpayers tens of millions each year in associated incarceration, investigative, trial, and adminstrative issues.
